Camera:Canon EOS 1000D

Today I attended Andy Belcher’s photography workshop. It was interesting, inspirational and intense!

I learnt all about aperture, shutter speed, ISO and other ‘technical’ stuff. I finally know how (hopefully) to get the best out of my camera. We spent over 2 hours in the morning shooting only on manual and then another 2 hours in the afternoon shooting using using the AV and TV settings. We had to narrow our 150 (or more) shots down to 5 then shared them with the group and chose 2 to edit using Adobe Lightroom (my next must have programme).

A long day 8.30 till 6 but worth it.

Let’s hope you can notice an improvement in my photo’s……

  1. Great pic. Nice composition. Did you photoshop the birds in? šŸ™‚

  2. Very funny! This was one of my two favourite pics of the day……no photoshopping anywhere. Apparently the birds are not ‘sharp’ enough though….you can really notice it when you zoom in. Always something to work on…..
