This is soooo much more than it looks.
It may resemble a humble custard square but think again……not sure from where exactly, apparently they are made in the South Island and shipped up here (the person who arrived with them had purchased them in Ngatea at the Copper Kettle – apparently infamous for getting them up here). They are NOT custard….more like a mousse consistency……unbelievable. So glad I don’t live anywhere near Ngatea!

Yes we have that special breed of vanilla slice here in the Nelson province as well- at a secret location- because they do sell out from time to time. Divine indeed.
